I am interested in purchasing a website off ebay and would like a little nudge in the right direction. I am looking at some cookie cutter websites and would like to know whether it is possible to turn one of these (cheap sites) into a a profitable one. I am also looking at possibly an affiliate site, like one of the travel websites, and would like to know if this would be a bad decision or if it is possible to get one of these sites noticed amongst all the big boys like Expedia and Travelocity, and if so, a good strategy to do so? Perhaps some advertising outside the internet?
